About the role
- Accountant managing financial operations for Capture One, shaping the future of photography by supporting financial integrity and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily accounting operations across Capture One entities
- Handle customer invoicing and actively follow up with customers on overdue receivables
- Prepare and execute vendor payments, ensuring accuracy and correct timing
- Create new vendors and ensure all vendor master data and vendor forms are completed and compliant
- Communicate with vendors regarding outstanding balances, payment status, and documentation
- Reconcile bank accounts and balance sheet accounts, and investigate and resolve discrepancies, ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Conduct and support the monthly close process, including preparing reconciliations and documentation
- Ensure all financial documentation is complete, accurate, and well-organized
- Prepare and deliver documentation for audits, supporting the Financial Controller and external auditors
- Maintain accounting documentation, policies, and process descriptions
- Ensure adherence to internal controls, accounting standards, and finance procedures
- Support continuous improvement of finance workflows and daily processes
Requirements
- Experience as Accountant (or similar finance role) in an international or fast-growing company
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and daily finance operations
- Hands-on experience with bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations
- Experience with customer invoicing, collections, and vendor payments
- Comfortable communicating with customers and vendors regarding outstanding balances and documentation
- Attention to detail and a structured, methodical way of working
- Ability to manage recurring tasks while meeting deadlines consistently, and to work independently while collaborating with an international finance team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
