About the role
- Senior Financial Structurer responsible for managing solar transactions in India, focusing on financial structuring and coordination among diverse teams. Integrating innovation and strategic execution in solar projects.
Responsibilities
- Managing Open Access solar transactions, including negotiation, due diligence, financial modelling, coordinating stakeholders, legal documentation and any aspect requiring attention in order to bring transactions to a successful close
- Performing financial, structuring and legal analysis on target deals to come up with optimal solutions for Candi and its clients
- Reviewing and negotiating legal documentation with external parties as required
- Working closely with Business Development, Risk, Engineering, Finance and Asset Management in order to successfully close these deals
- Helping to define and execute on a strategy for accelerating the pace and conversion of Open Access projects
- Refining Candi’s processes and tools (financial models, template legal documentation, etc) for Open Access projects
Requirements
- 7+ years of relevant experience in financial and/or legal structuring and/or M&A at a financial institution, corporate, utility or law firm
- Several years of experience structuring captive / group captive Open Access or utility scale solar projects in India
- Experience with Open Access regulations, including their commercial and risk considerations
- A solid understanding of financial risks
- A solid understanding of solar financial products
- Experience with legal documentation – i.e. an ability to review and negotiate contracts with third parties
- Being at ease with coordinating and interacting with various stakeholders (internal and external)
- Excellent written and spoken English required, additional languages are a plus
- A degree in finance, business, law or related qualifying experience
