About the role
- Scrum Master leading agile practices for data governance and quality improvement in a complex project. Overseeing Scrum teams and ensuring effective collaboration in the project.
Responsibilities
- Establish and further develop agile working methods (especially Scrum) for 2–3 Scrum teams working within a cross-project program
- Facilitate and organize all Scrum events (Daily, Sprint Planning, Review, Retrospective)
- Advise the Product Owner on maintaining and prioritizing the backlog with a focus on data quality topics, in particular ensuring sprint goals are defined SMART
- Ensure transparency of progress, risks, and dependencies
- Identify and remove impediments
- Foster a self-organized, interdisciplinary collaboration (IT, Data Engineering, business units, Governance)
- Ensure the agile way of working can be practiced effectively between PO, development team, and subject-matter experts
Requirements
- Several years of practical experience as a Scrum Master in complex projects
- Scrum Master certification
- Experience in data-driven projects, ideally in the areas of data quality, Data Governance, or Data Analytics
- Confident use of agile methods (Scrum, Kanban, hybrid approaches)
- Strong facilitation and coaching skills
- Excellent communication skills and conflict resolution capability
- Structured, analytical, and solution-oriented way of working
- Independent and proactive work style
- Ability to structure and moderate complex business and technical topics
- Experience managing dependencies between IT and business units
- Experience with common agile tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar)
