About the role

• Junior Tax Consultant supporting tax consulting projects with analysis and data interpretation at ButtiniMoraes. Contributing to documentation and client meetings under supervision while developing technical skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the execution of tax consulting projects focused on the analysis, organization and interpretation of tax data (direct and indirect taxes).
• Apply basic to intermediate knowledge of tax legislation (including ICMS, ICMS-ST, IPI, ISS, PIS and COFINS).
• Prepare spreadsheets, reports and formal documentation under supervision.
• Keep technical documentation organized and accessible, maintaining version history.
• Attend client meetings and assist in preparing technical materials and deliverables.
• Participate in internal training and continuous development programs.
• Perform self-assessment and review own deliverables to ensure quality.
• Use methodologies and tools provided by the firm.
• Address specific questions with supervisors and monitor the progress of assigned activities.
• Meet deadlines and commitments with a focus on excellence and responsibility.
• Automate routines and propose improvements to optimize operational efficiency.

Requirements

• Degree in Law, Business Administration, Accounting, Economics or related fields.
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of tax legislation applied to major federal, state and municipal taxes.
• Office suite proficiency, especially Excel (spreadsheets and data analysis).
• Familiarity with tax consulting methodologies (desirable).
• Knowledge of tax compliance filings (EFD-ICMS/IPI, GIA, etc.).
• Proactivity and active listening.
• Analytical and critical thinking.
• Team collaboration.
• Organization, responsibility and commitment to deadlines.
• Ability to learn continuously.
• Participation in tax projects (desirable).
• Ease with technical communication and formal writing.
• Experience in consulting firms (desirable).
