About the role
- Senior Backend Engineer working on backend systems for a leading digital payments platform in the automotive industry. Engaging in collaborative problem-solving and scalable system design.
Responsibilities
- Collaborating closely with teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Design, develop, and implement high-quality, scalable, and maintainable backend systems and APIs
- Conducting code reviews to ensure code quality, performance, and adherence to best practices
- Providing timely solutions to troubleshoot complex technical issues, debug them, and minimize their impact on the platform
- Being able to divide work into small outputs and actively delegate work to more than one team member
- Mentoring young engineers by encouraging a culture of continuous learning and growth within the team
- Staying abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends by proposing and implementing innovative solutions to enhance the capabilities of our platform
Requirements
- Having at least 5 years advanced knowledge of Django
- Having at least 5 years advanced knowledge of Python
- At least five years of experience working with SQL databases
- Expert in software design principles and experience in REST APIs
- Practice using Git and the ability to overcome technical problems encountered in Git
- Expert level knowledge of a functional area of Bumper or a language, framework, or part of the technology stack we use to build Bumper
- Have strong oral and written communication skills in English
