About the role
- Accountant handling financial accounting for construction companies. Collaborating with clients to optimize accounting processes and providing financial overviews and analysis.
Responsibilities
- Independently manage the financial accounting of our clients — including full posting of all ongoing business transactions (accounts receivable, accounts payable, bank, cash)
- Prepare meaningful monthly financial statements to provide financial overview and analysis
- Maintain and reconcile master data and accounts, including processing of day-to-day payments
- Prepare and submit VAT advance returns in accordance with current legal requirements
- Work closely and collaboratively with our clients to optimally implement individual requirements
Requirements
- Commercial vocational training, ideally as a tax clerk (Steuerfachangestellte) or an equivalent qualification
- Several years of experience in financial accounting — ideally with insight into the processes of a construction company
- Solid knowledge of accounts receivable and accounts payable accounting
- Proficient with accounting software (e.g., DATEV, Lexware, SAP) and MS Office, especially Excel
- Strong numerical skills, analytical thinking, and a structured, independent working style
- Strong communication skills and enjoyment of working with clients and in a team
- Very good German language skills, both written and spoken
