Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain in-sprint test automation aligned to Agile development cycles.
- Collaborate with software engineers, product managers, and DevOps teams.
- Execute automated and manual tests as needed, performing detailed failure analysis and root cause investigations.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab.
- Drive continuous improvement of automation frameworks, tools, and processes to increase test coverage, stability, and execution efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field or equivalent industry experience.
- 3+ years of experience as a software developer, QA engineer, or SDET, including hands‑on experience with automated testing for mainframe systems.
- Proficiency in one or more programming/scripting languages such as Java, Python, or C#; familiarity with VBScript, HTML, or SQL is a plus.
- Experience developing test utilities or internal tools using Java, Python, or scripting languages.
- Experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, Swagger, SoapUI) for validating RESTful services (JSON/XML).
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Spinnaker, Bamboo) and integrating tests within build pipelines.
- Proficiency with Git or other version control and collaborative development tools.
- Strong understanding of software engineering principles, Agile methodologies, QA concepts, and shift-left testing practices.
- Certified ISTQB certification is a plus.
