About the role
- Legal role at Bichara Advogados dealing with infrastructure projects and providing legal opinions and reports. Requires experience in regulatory and administrative law with advanced English proficiency.
Responsibilities
- Draft legal opinions, technical memoranda, legal reports, and other related documents for infrastructure projects (sanitation, transportation, logistics, construction, ports, highways, among others).
- Conduct legal and regulatory research focused on the sector, with emphasis on regulations, regulatory coexistence, public procurement, and infrastructure contracts.
- Support clients in public procurement procedures: review of tender documents, identification of risks, preparation of risk matrices, assistance in proposal preparation, and regulatory compliance support.
- Monitor and follow administrative proceedings, including preparation of defenses, submissions, and requests for administrative measures.
- Provide regulatory advice to domestic and foreign clients, tracking regulatory changes, bills, and administrative acts that impact operations.
- Participate in internal and client meetings, prepare minutes, follow up on actions, and monitor deadlines.
- Contribute to project management with a focus on risk, compliance, and operational efficiency, seeking practical and effective legal solutions.
Requirements
- Law degree (graduated 2016 or later)
- Preferred: previous experience at a law firm or in-house in the infrastructure or regulatory area.
- Knowledge of administrative, regulatory, and contract law.
- Advanced English.
- Strong drafting skills, organization, and attention to detail.
- Proactive, collaborative profile and interest in developing a career in infrastructure law.
