Responsibilities
Strengthening manager capability - acting as the go-to partner for managers to help them address issues early, set clearer expectations, and run structured feedback conversations.
Driving early performance intervention - helping managers identify and handle underperformance quickly and constructively through structured improvement plans.
Resolving complex people situations - leading our approach to grievances, disciplinary matters, and sensitive conflicts with clarity and professionalism.
Supporting consistent performance management - ensuring reviews are thoughtful, evidence-based, and consistently applied across all teams at Beam.
Maintaining Team health - building relationships with Team leads to surface risks around trends or engagement before they escalate.
Acting as a champion for accountability - helping managers reach clear, fair decisions quickly to maintain a culture of high performance.
Requirements
Demonstrable experience in People Partnering or ER - specifically within a startup or fast-paced environment, with a heavy focus on manager enablement and performance.
A strong sense of diplomacy - you know how to navigate sensitive employee situations with professionalism and reduce risk to the company.
A creative, growth mindset - you don’t just follow a handbook; you bring novel ideas to improve team dynamics and manager confidence.
Incredible discovery techniques - strong listening and questioning skills to uncover the root causes of performance issues and identify the best path forward.
