Responsibilities
- Shape our data landscape, influence long‑term digital transformation, and grow your technical and leadership skills while supporting projects that make a real difference.
- Lead the design and development of ETL/ELT solutions across the full software development life cycle.
- Collaborate with data engineers, developers, analysts, testers and project teams to deliver high‑quality data products.
- Establish data modelling standards and contribute to best‑practice development across the organisation.
- Support platform administration and help advance modern cloud technologies, including Azure, Microsoft Fabric and Databricks.
- Mentor and guide colleagues, driving continuous improvement in engineering delivery and AI‑ready data capabilities.
Requirements
- Extensive experience with the Microsoft SQL Server BI stack (SSIS, SSAS) or equivalent ETL/ELT platforms, plus Python.
- Proven ability to analyse and resolve reporting and data pipeline performance issues.
- Strong experience gathering and documenting high‑quality business requirements and engaging stakeholders.
- Expertise in database design, data warehousing, ODS/DataMart’s, OLAP concepts and dimensional modelling.
- Strong capability in cloud data engineering or readiness to lead cloud adoption using Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Microsoft Fabric or Azure Data Lake Storage.
- The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) / Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
