Responsibilities
Plan the Availability of the Royal Navy’s Submarines
Optimise through life maintenance plans for the Royal Navy’s in service submarines.
Analyse complex data, balance maintenance requirements against operational programmes.
Collaborate with subject matter experts across Babcock, the Ministry of Defence and industry partners.
Support programme changes and “what if” scenarios to keep submarines safe, capable and available.
Use a dedicated asset management tool to manage maintenance requirements through life.
Collaborate with experts across Babcock, the Royal Navy, MOD and industry partners to optimise work packages.
Contribute to the development of the through life boat plan application alongside the team.
Requirements
Engineering experience with a solid understanding of maintenance requirements and planning.
Strong communication and presentation skills, with the confidence to engage at all levels.
Ability to produce clear technical reports and identify improvement opportunities.
Commitment to continuous professional development.
Strong IT skills and experience analysing data in Excel or similar tools.
Degree in a relevant engineering discipline or HNC/HND with demonstrable relevant experience.
Marine, defence or asset intensive industry experience is welcomed.
The successful candidate must be a sole UK national who is able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
