Responsibilities
- Guide a team of engineers delivering ICT capabilities for the Enhanced Defence High Frequency Communications System
- Lead the design, delivery, acceptance and sustainment of complex products
- Apply engineering principles to develop robust designs and technical solutions
- Lead multi-domain investigations and risk assessments
- Make informed engineering decisions across the product lifecycle
- Plan and monitor team outputs to time, cost and quality
- Ensure compliance with standards, safety obligations, trade controls and HSE requirements
- Drive continuous improvement and support successful bids and business growth
Requirements
- Engineering qualification in electronics, electrical, communications, systems, ICT or related discipline
- Relevant experience in relatable technical/engineering roles
- Understanding of applicable engineering toolsets (e.g. PLM or MRP systems, design, simulation and analysis software)
- Demonstrated systems engineering experience with a preference for engineering experience in ICT, communications, electronics, or other relevant discipline
- Experience in requirements definition, interface definition, subsystem design, installation supervision, set to work, and commissioning
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team to achieve desired results
- Understanding of the Defence Capability Life Cycle
