About the role

  • Jr. Statistical Analyst supporting statewide reporting through data collection and analysis for the Arizona Supreme Court. Involves collaborating with courts and stakeholders on statistical data processing.

Responsibilities

  • Supports statewide reporting through data collection, validation, and maintenance of statistical and survey data
  • Processing datasets and reporting interfaces in SAS
  • Maintaining webpages and dashboard content
  • Assisting courts with reporting requirements and statistical inquiries
  • Handling and prioritizing incoming data requests
  • Contributing to analysis, research activities, literature review, report writing, and dashboard development
  • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders
  • Maintaining, modifying, and developing data-entry interfaces for surveys and monthly reports
  • Developing testing scenarios and conducting testing of statistical and detailed reports
  • Providing onsite or virtual training to court personnel on data-submission processes
  • Developing presentations for trainings or conferences.

Requirements

  • Degree in criminal justice, social science, or related field, with coursework in research methods, statistics, or database management
  • Minimum of three years of applied statistical research or relational database experience
  • Proficiency with statistical analytic software
  • Knowledge of social science research methods or principles of statistical analysis
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with committees, judges, court administrators, clerks of court, agency personnel, and the public
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to handle confidential information, and follow instructions accurately
  • Familiarity with courts and the criminal justice system (preferred)
  • Coursework in database management, statistics, or technical/computer-related subjects (preferred)
  • Proficiency in the SAS statistical package (preferred).
