About the role
- Junior Software Engineer contributing to 3D visualisation and XR cloud streaming technologies. Collaborating in a scaled agile environment to enhance AVEVA’s industrial software portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the delivery of best-in-class 3D visualisation and XR cloud streaming technologies
- Collaborate with fellow software developers, SDET’s and DevOps engineers to clarify requirements, break down work, and deliver sprint commitments
- Write and maintain automated unit tests and support continuous integration by investigating failures and improving code coverage
- Support the deployment and development of our software by debugging issues, improving logging and diagnostic capabilities
- Assist with maintaining our production systems by contributing well scoped fixes and implementing preventative improvements
Requirements
- A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Up to 2 years of experience in a technical or security-related role (internships count!)
- Understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
- Foundational experience in or understanding of software development using C#
- Basic understanding of software development principles such as OOP, Unit Testing, SOLID and DRY principles
- Team-oriented and collaborative, with clear communication and strong organisational skills
- Methodical, proactive “can-do” attitude with a strong learning mindset and desire to grow technical depth
