Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of AP+’s enterprise strategy, ensuring alignment with the evolving Australian payments landscape.
- Structure and solve complex strategic problems, leveraging data-driven insights to inform executive decision-making.
- Identify and evaluate growth opportunities, partnerships, and innovation pathways to strengthen AP+’s market position.
- Provide clear, actionable strategic advice to the Executive Leadership Team on priorities, investments, and trade-offs.
- Monitor industry trends and the broader payments ecosystem to proactively identify risks and opportunities.
- Lead and deliver high-priority strategic initiatives end-to-end, ensuring alignment to business objectives and measurable outcomes.
- Collaborate across product, technology, operations, and industry teams to drive cohesive and integrated strategic delivery.
- Build and influence relationships across internal and external stakeholders to achieve outcomes in a complex ecosystem.
Requirements
- 7+ years' experience working in strategic roles, preferably in a Payments organisation (but not essential).
- Deep experience working with strategic frameworks and structured problem solving.
- Consulting/internal corporate strategy experience highly preferred.
- Proven ability to operate in ambiguous, high-complexity environments and drive clarity for senior stakeholders.
- Be able to work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders across different functions and lines of business.
- Be a strong problem solver with the ability to structure analysis.
