Responsibilities
- Lead the safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery of construction activities across projects
- Provide leadership across site establishment, construction execution, and project assurance
- Manage site activities to ensure delivery against safety, quality, cost, and programme targets
- Act as the Principal Contractor’s representative on site
- Ensure compliance with construction procedures, safety standards, and statutory requirements
- Coordinate construction activities across teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and client representatives
- Implement and maintain assurance plans, including safety, quality, cost, and schedule performance monitoring
- Manage, assess, mentor, and develop site staff
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction management within complex infrastructure or rail environments
- Strong knowledge of health, safety, quality, and assurance processes
- Experience acting as Principal Contractor or managing Principal Contractor responsibilities
- Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple stakeholders
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- Competent in cost, programme, and change management processes
- Relevant construction, engineering, or safety qualifications (or equivalent experience)
