Audit Senior Manager overseeing multiple nonprofit clients' audit engagements at Armanino. Leading audit processes, managing deliverables, and developing junior professionals in a supportive environment.
Responsibilities
Manage the engagement and workflow of all deliverables for multiple non-profit clients
Oversee all aspects of the single audit engagement
Identify and resolve accounting and audit technical issues
Lead the engagement planning process
Determine and approve staffing and other resource needs
Review engagement work papers and related deliverables
Delegate assignments to supervisors
Participate in the peer review process
Conduct or review research of complex accounting and financial reporting issues
Coordinate and monitor the services provided by other departments
Keep the partner informed about client updates
Assist in developing fee quotes and budgets
Preparation of client billings and collection of outstanding accounts
Utilize assurance department methodologies to enhance efficiency
Develop into a trusted advisor for clients
Prepare presentations for audit exit and committee meetings
Participate in activities to develop and improve firm processes
Serve as an instructor in training programs and meetings
Develop less experienced professionals through feedback, counseling, and mentoring
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field
CPA license
Minimum of 2 years of managerial experience
Minimum of 7 years of experience working in a public accounting firm including significant experience within a public accounting firm and/or equivalent or related experience in industry or a nonprofit organization
Assurance, leadership, guidance or supervisory experience is required.
Advanced understanding of applicable U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (“GAAP”) and Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (“GAAS”)
Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat
Flexibility to work from home while collaborating in person half the time.
