About the role
- Program Director and Leadership Instructor for the redesigned online Educational Leadership Program at Bank Street College. Focusing on progressive leadership training and educational redesign initiatives.
Responsibilities
- This is a full-time, 10-month faculty position for a program director and instructor in Bank Street’s Leadership Department.
- The focus of this position will be Bank Street’s redesigned online Educational Leadership Program with pathways in Progressive Leadership and Early Childhood Leadership, with the potential to add other pathways.
- Depending on the Leadership Department's needs, the individual hired for this position may also teach and/or advise in other Bank Street leadership programs.
- Candidates must have expertise in early childhood and K-12 leadership, depth of experience teaching in early childhood or K-12, and school building leadership experience.
- In addition, candidates should demonstrate a depth of knowledge and experience with progressive pedagogies for both children and adults.
Requirements
- Masters in education or educational leadership, required
- Experience with public, charter, independent, and /or international schools, preferred
- Certification in school building leadership, preferred
- Doctorate in education leadership or related field, preferred
- Five or more years of school leadership experience, preferred
- School district leadership experience, preferred
- Experience working with NYCPS, preferred
- Experience and demonstrated success teaching in higher education, preferred
- Experience with program administration, preferred
