About the role

• Junior DevOps Engineer at ALEA maintaining infrastructure and managing CI/CD pipelines for optimal performance and security in a hybrid setup.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and monitor servers, databases, and networks to ensure system health, availability, and performance
• Manage cloud-based resources, particularly in AWS or similar cloud environments, optimizing cost and performance
• Ensure the infrastructure is secure, implementing security policies and practices to protect data and access
• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to enable rapid, reliable deployment cycles
• Support the automation of build, test, and deployment processes, collaborating closely with development teams
• Develop scripts and tools for automating routine tasks
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices using tools like Terraform or Ansible
• Use monitoring tools to keep systems running optimally, identifying bottlenecks and taking preventive measures
• Implement security best practices in server configurations, networking, and application deployment
• Work closely with engineering teams to support development and testing environments, troubleshooting issues across applications and infrastructure
• Provide technical support for infrastructure-related incidents

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 1+ years of experience in Systems Administration or DevOps Engineering
• Hands-on experience with cloud providers (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and IaC tools such as Terraform or Ansible
• Strong knowledge of Linux-based systems and networking fundamentals
• Proficient in scripting languages like Bash, Python, or Ruby
• Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI) and monitoring tools (e.g., Grafana, Prometheus)
• Solid understanding of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
