About the role
- MES Software Engineer focusing on automation of AGFA's complex production processes as an end-to-end project lead. Responsible for software applications, technical requirements translation, and implementation.
Responsibilities
- Work towards further automation and optimisation of the complex business and production processes within AGFA
- Be an end-to-end project lead responsible for software applications developed for AGFA’s manufacturing plants
- Translate technical and functional requirements to software designs to be implemented within time and budget
- Implement software designs using modern implementation techniques and technologies (.NET web API, .NET Blazor, Oracle, Visual Studio, Git, etc.)
- Delivery & deployment of new software implementation after coordinating validation & testing with key-users
- Support novel and existing MES applications according to agreements made with internal clients
- Provide support for legacy software and re-evaluate/apply strategy where appropriate.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Engineering / IT or equivalent through experience
- preferably at least 3 years of experience as a (full-stack) software engineer/developer (in .NET)
- fluent in Dutch and conversational in English
- experience in project management is a plus
- interested in automating industrial production and business processes
- interested in working with modern IT-technologies
- a sharp, analytical mind
- strong communicator focussed on getting results
- flexible mentality and a strong sense of responsibility
- willing to learn the specific systems and processes within AGFA.
- willing to work 3 to 4 days a week at AGFA HQ in Mortsel, Belgium.
