About the role

• Junior Java Backend Developer developing modern backend components and integrating external services for ADITO. Collaborating in an agile environment focusing on product development without client customization.

Responsibilities

• As part of the team you develop robust, scalable, and modern backend components in Java
• You implement the technical foundation of our rapid-application platform
• You integrate external services such as email, Exchange, authentication, etc., and contribute to the ongoing development of our service-oriented architecture
• You are responsible for testing your components (automated unit and integration tests)
• You work closely with other development teams (frontend, cloud, AI)
• You contribute across teams — a proactive, broader perspective is expected; not just executing tickets

Requirements

• You have initial experience in backend development with Java, for example one to two years after university or during vocational training as an IT specialist (Fachinformatiker/in)
• (Initial) experience with SQL databases (e.g., MS SQL, MySQL, or MariaDB) is a strong plus
• You enjoy working with service-oriented architectures (SOA)
• You want to shape and contribute, not just maintain — you seek solutions where others see problems
• You speak fluent German (at least C1) — this is important for our team communication
• You are in the office in Geisenhausen 2–3 days per week — for exchange, team spirit, and real dialogue
