About the role
- AI Applications Analyst supporting AI initiatives and shaping corporate strategy at WEC Energy Group. Designing, implementing, and maintaining AI solutions while ensuring ethical standards are upheld.
Responsibilities
- Support AI initiatives from both a build and on-going support perspective
- Help shape and guide the corporate strategy for AI/Generative AI across WEC Energy Group
- Design, develop, and implement AI and generative AI applications, as well as go forward support
- Troubleshoot and resolve AI-related issues, ensuring the reliability and accuracy of AI-driven applications
- Monitor AI workloads with observability tools and AI Operations best practices
- Create and manage AI standards, procedures, and training
- Support company-wide alignment of AI efforts
- Review AI solution architecture
- Ensure AI solutions are secure and scalable within Microsoft Azure and/or Amazon Web Services (AWS) environments
- Evaluate emerging AI technologies and capabilities
- Participate in corporate-level AI governance and strategy
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, MIS, Artificial Intelligence, or Engineering
- Successful completion of a certified Application Development Apprenticeship will also be considered
- 2+ years of professional experience in AI/ML development or enterprise AI implementation (preferred)
- Proficiency in cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure and AWS
- Strong understanding of AI solution architecture and deployment
- Familiarity with data privacy, security, and ethical considerations in AI
