• Controller overseeing financial operations and reporting at Action Property Management. Responsible for accounting and financial strategies to support company growth in Irvine, CA.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the accounting and financial operations of the company, including the production of weekly, monthly, and annual financial reports.
• Maintenance of accounting records, and development of policies and procedures to facilitate all accounting-related functions.
• Ensure reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles.
• Oversee the flow of all financial information from the initial transaction through completed financial statements.
• Oversee core accounting operations and financial reporting while partnering with leadership to support a growing organization.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field. A CPA or an MBA is strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in a senior financial management position, with a preference for experience in a privately held company.
• Experience in an HOA environment, standard costs, and basic variance analysis is strongly preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting best practices, laws, standards, and state/national regulations.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, strategic planning, and organizational skills.
• Excellent leadership, team building, and decision-making abilities.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Must be well organized, detail-oriented, able to multi-task and possess a strong work ethic.
• Must have a high energy level and be a self-starter.
• High level of adaptability to pivot and meet changing priorities.
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Technical savvy – interest in learning and implementing new technology.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
