About the role

  • Consultor(a) técnico de obras supporting engineering projects at ACAO DA CIDADANIA. Focused on overseeing civil construction and ensuring compliance with project specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the institution's internal technical focal point with engineering firms and other suppliers.
  • Monitor the execution of civil works and preliminary stages, ensuring adherence to approved designs, contracts, schedules, and budgets.
  • Analyze technical reports, physical and financial measurements, schedules, and contractual claims.
  • Support the technical validation of deliverables, milestones, and payment releases.
  • Provide the Project Management team with technical analyses for strategic decisions related to construction and infrastructure.
  • Anticipate, identify, and support the mitigation of technical, financial, and operational risks.
  • Support technical communication between internal departments, consultancies, contractors, and institutional partners.
  • Support and accompany technical visits, surveys, and preliminary diagnostics.
  • Analyze and validate detailed design packages, technical proposals, and cost estimates submitted by engineering firms.
  • Support the analysis of geotechnical investigations, topographic surveys, feasibility studies, and the definition of construction methods.
  • Contribute to the preparation and review of terms of reference and technical scopes.
  • Provide technical input for the architectural and conceptual review of Hub equipment, in coordination with architects and technical teams.
  • Evaluate constructability, technical suitability, and the integration of designs into different territorial contexts.
  • Contribute to the standardization of technical guidelines where applicable, while respecting local specificities.
  • Provide technical support for the projects and construction of the Hubs in Maranhão, São Paulo, and Pará, with the possibility of expansion according to institutional demand.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience in construction management and engineering projects, preferably involving industrial equipment, industrial kitchens, or public/social infrastructure.
  • Experience in analyzing detailed design packages, cost estimates, schedules, and quantity measurements.
  • Familiarity with contracting and supervising engineering firms and contractors.
